Doing Business with Us

Supplier guidelines, tenders and commercial opportunities.

Information for Suppliers

We manage the procurement of goods, services and capital works in line with Victorian Government legislation, Ministerial Directions and industry best practice. Our procurement approach is guided by principles of value for money, probity, accountability and ethical purchasing.

We are committed to fair, transparent and sustainable procurement practices that support local industry, external stakeholders and the broader community. Suppliers are expected to operate with integrity and comply with our ethical, safety, environmental and governance standards.

East Gippsland Water has adopted the Victorian Government Supplier Code of Conduct, which applies to all supplier agreements and purchase orders. We also maintain policies covering gifts, benefits and hospitality, ensuring all procurement activities are conducted ethically and responsibly.

Procurement opportunities may be offered through tenders, panel arrangements or quotation processes, depending on procurement thresholds and business requirements.

All new tenders associated with the procurement of construction works, and goods and services by us are advertised on one of the following two tender platforms dependent upon the Tender type:

Construction – Tenderlink

Non-construction – Vendor Panel

We encourage all businesses to register as a Supplier via the links below. This allows registered suppliers and contractors to view and receive email updates of relevant tenders as they become available, as well as lodge tender responses online, and request and download documentation.

Procurement Complaints and Disputes

We are committed to fair, transparent and accountable procurement practices. Complaints provide an opportunity to improve our procurement processes and organisational performance.

Any complaint relating to a quotation, tender or procurement process must be submitted in writing to the Procurement & Contracts Advisor via email at procurement@egwater.vic.gov.au as soon as practicable after the issue becomes known. Complaints should outline the nature of the issue, relevant background information and the desired outcome.

All complaints will be acknowledged within five working days and assigned a reference number. We will investigate the matter, seek further information if required, and advise the complainant of the outcome within 20 working days, or provide an update if additional time is required.

Where a complaint cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of both parties, the matter may be referred to the Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB).
