Applications are closing soon for East Gippsland Water's Graduate Program and Summer Internship Program, offering students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain practical experience while contributing to projects that support communities across East Gippsland.
The Graduate Program is a two-year development program for students who have recently completed, or are about to complete, an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification. Commencing in February 2027, graduates will rotate across different areas of the business, work on a range of projects, receive mentoring from experienced professionals, and build technical and professional skills within the water industry. Applications close on Monday 31 August 2026.
The Summer Internship Program is a paid 12-week placement for university students currently completing their undergraduate degree. Running from December 2026 to February 2027, the program offers hands-on work experience, exposure to real projects, and the opportunity to learn from industry professionals while gaining insight into careers in the water sector. Applications close on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
General Manager People, Safety and Culture, Pam Porter, said the programs are designed to provide practical experience, professional development and meaningful work.
“Both programs offer participants the opportunity to contribute to projects that support communities across East Gippsland while learning from experienced industry professionals. These are valuable opportunities to build skills and gain real-world experience in a supportive environment.” Ms Porter said.
